lijiang old town
I have never set foot in Venice, but I now know as the Venice of China. It now gives me an idea of this mythical place of tourism …
Imagine dozens of small cobbled streets, many canals, alleys and small bridges. You are certainly in a charming town. Lush, lanterns, dark tiled roofs with pointed ends. This is not Venice but probably Lijiang!
The city seems to tremble under no tourists, no doubt, this is indeed the flagship of the Chinese tourism!
Lijiang is really up to its reputation. Y stroll in this season, when it is bathed in sunshine and soothed by a gentle breeze is a real pleasure. Pleasure that many people want to taste. Few foreign tourists who are in southern China without spending a few days. More numerous are the Chinese tourists who come here to relax.
The old city – it is rebuilt within 10 years after an earthquake – seems tailor-made for tourists. She is beautiful but soulless. The local population has deserted the streets and estates of shops, restaurants, bars or hotels!
Fortunately, all this remains in the architectural style of the Naxi ethnic group locally, and is very smooth, the city is also registered as World Heritage by UNESCO. The visit of the many hotels in the city is a theme ride a whole day at least: almost all the courses like hotel museums as their architecture, their marquetry are worked!
